Oregon & SW Washington

The leading knowledge exchange for Data Center, IT and Mission Critical professionals.

Letter to Members

Dear Members:

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as president of the 7x24 Exchange Oregon and SW Washington Chapter. Our Chapter board of directors is dedicated to supporting the growing mission critical market here in the Pacific Northwest.

Our chapter’s geographic location on the Pacific coast make us unique.

  • We are home to the Silicon Forest where fundamental digital technologies are researched, developed, and manufactured.
  • Oregon is the primary communication landing spot for expanding trans-Pacific cables connecting North America and the world to Asia. These cables are the world’s digital trade routes.
  • Our sustainable and low-cost electric rates make us home to “the cloud” as hyperscale providers continue to build their digital factories here.

Our chapter goal is to provide a professional network where members can collaborate, learn, and grow as designers, constructors, practitioners, and operators of mission critical digital infrastructure. We strive to engage our members and audience with high quality technical programs, networking events, and educational programs.

In our first four years as a Chapter, we have connected key leaders and stakeholders in the industry collaborating on best practices, networking and a glimpse of the future of the swiftly evolving mission critical and data center ecosystem. On behalf of the board, I thank those who have donated your most precious commodity of “time” to our mission.

In 2019, we launched our new chapter website, reducing our administration time and greatly enhancing our ability to communicate with our members about events and programs. Please take a moment to sign up for chapter announcements and meeting notifications (add link) and connect with us on LinkedIn (add link), if you are not already a member.

I would also like to take this opportunity to recognize the Oregon and SW Washington Chapter Board of Directors (the Team) for their support and personal investment of time and effort. None of this could have been accomplished without their hard work and dedication. With that, I ask you to join me in thanking:

Paul Vaccaro - Vice PresidentJulie Moore - Director
Chris Wilkes – TreasurerKathryn Rose – Secretary
Tracy Ann Gill – DirectorWarren McCarty - Director
Jill Miles – ex officio DirectorRoger Lee – ex officio Director

We enter 2019 with our new website, a healthy balance sheet, and a chapter team focused on serving our membership, the digital infrastructure community, and the community colleges and universities in our region.

With Best Regards,

Sig Anderson,
PE President
